Overcome the challenge of event reporting
Punitive nature of reporting and the absence of easy-to-use reporting systems results in almost 90% events not being reported by clinicians. The Event Reporting app powered by qvident® is designed to simplify the event reporting process, right within the workflow.
Save time with minimal data input
Promote patient safety, quality and learning oppurtunities
Standardized event reporting within qvident® workflow
Traditionally, submitting an event required clinicians to navigate to a different application on the hospital’s network or record events at the end of their shift. But with the Event Reporting app, the reporting system is embedded within the qvident workflow and clinicians can log events consistently and accurately, accessed from any device. Each event is categorized by origin of event – device, medication, medical error and graded according to the type of harm, establishing a standardized and validated surgery-specific classification of all-cause harm events.
Minimize data input and save time
Previously, logging an event required manual entry of more than 25 data points. With the Event Reporting app, the total data input required to submit an event has been substantially reduced – just 8 clicks from home page to harm level – saving precious OR time.
Promote patient safety and quality improvement
Users are generally not notified if their submitted reports have been received by risk/quality groups or helped in the quality improvement process. With the Event Reporting tool, the user receives a message when the report is submitted, and can learn how their efforts are helping improve patient safety, closing the reporting loop. Detailed analytics further enable rapid identification of improvement opportunities in a safe and collaborative environment under the legal protection of CX-PSO.
