Caresyntax recognized as a leading digital health care company for driving digital transformation in the operating suite

Boston (December 8, 2021) – Caresyntax, the leading enterprise-level digital surgery platform delivering actionable insights to make surgery smarter and safer, announced today that it has been named to CB Insights’ third annual Digital Health 150, which showcases the 150 most promising private digital health companies in the world. Caresyntax was recognized out of more than 11,000 applicants and joins the likes of Cityblock Health and Hinge Health as winners.

Caresyntax’s digital surgery platform analyzes video, image, device, clinical, and other data in and around the OR, and delivers predictive insights that enable surgeons and their teams to benchmark and improve their care, and hospital administrators to use time and surgical resources more efficiently to grow surgical revenues and market share under both value-based and traditional care models. Through its platform, Caresyntax also offers virtual, real-time access to outside experts, such as medical school instructors and medical device representatives.

“We’ve created a new space in the market at the intersection of data collection and analysis with a solution that improves patient outcomes, reduces the clinical burden on surgeons, and allows provider organizations to operate more safely and profitably. This is why Caresyntax solutions are used in more than 4,000 operating rooms worldwide and support surgical teams in over two million procedures per year,” said Dennis Kogan, Caresyntax founder and CEO. “We are thrilled to be part of the CB Insights Digital Health 150 list and look forward to bringing even more innovation to the operating room as we continue our rapid growth.”

Through an evidence-based approach, the CB Insights research team selected the Digital Health 150 from hundreds of applications based on several factors including patent activity, investor quality, news sentiment analysis, proprietary Mosaic scores, market potential, partnerships, competitive landscape, team strength, and tech novelty. The Mosaic Score, based on CB Insights’ algorithm, measures the overall health and growth potential of private companies to help predict a company’s momentum.

The award follows recent milestones for Caresyntax, including a $130 million Series C funding round including investors BlackRock and ProAssurance, and selection by the American Board of Surgery to provide a platform for its pilot program incorporating video-based assessments into ABS’ board certification process. The company also won a Medtech Breakthrough Award for its innovation in health care analytics earlier this year.
